Engr. Adil Nawaz

Engr. Adil Nawaz is an Electrical Engineer, public policy professional, and governance practitioner with extensive experience in public-sector management, institutional reform, water and sanitation, infrastructure development, and corporate governance. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM). He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), a Member of the Board of Governors of the Paraplegic Centre Peshawar, and a Member of the Senate Committee of The University of Agriculture Peshawar.

Engr. Adil Nawaz holds an MS in Electrical Engineering and an LLB, and is currently pursuing an MPhil in Public Policy and Governance. His professional interests include public policy, good governance, institutional strengthening, public-sector performance, urban development, environmental sustainability, and evidence-based policy reform. His work focuses on translating policy into effective implementation and strengthening public service delivery through accountable, professional, and citizen-focused institutions. He brings significant experience in board-level governance, strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and institutional development, with a particular interest in strengthening public institutions and improving their responsiveness to citizens.

He has international exposure through the EU Water Operators’ Partnerships (WOPs) Programme and participated in the 6th Global WOPs Congress in Bonn, Germany, organised under the UN-Habitat/GWOPA framework. His professional vision is to contribute to evidence-based policymaking, stronger public institutions, and sustainable development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
