Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan did his Ph.D. from University College Cork, Ireland. He attended New Mexico State University USA as a Fulbright Scholar. He was associated with the Bio Design Institute, Arizona State University USA as a Visiting Scientist. He is Fellow of the Chemical Society of Pakistan since 1994 and a Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences. He has served as Vice-Chancellor, University of Malakand, University of Peshawar and University of Poonch Rawalakot, and has extensively contributed to knowledge creation and human resource development.
