In a landmark achievement for the people of the Merged Districts, the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming its commitment to the full integration and development of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). This historic decision solidifies the province’s dedication to upholding the promises made during the 25th Constitutional Amendment of 2018 and ensuring that the people of the merged districts receive their rightful share of governance, security, and development.

The 2018 merger of tribal areas has further complicated governance and service delivery responsibilities for the KP government. There is an urgent need for informed, objective input to address these challenges and guide policy formulation.
