Aspire-KP Preparatory Meeting to Finalize Plans for Two Flagship Upcoming Policy Events

Aspire KP held a preparatory meeting to finalize plans for two flagship upcoming policy events: “Counting Merged Districts in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” and “State of Universities and University Education in KP.”
The meeting was chaired by Chairman Aspire, Shehzad Arbab, and attended by senior Aspire members, including Sahibzada Saeed Ahmad, Prof. Rasul Jan, Prof. Qibla Ayaz, Hifz Ur Rehman, Adnan Faisal, Rukhshanda Naz, Hina Khattak, Research Associate, and Tariq Shah, Program and Administration Officer.

The Islamabad-based dialogue on “Counting Merged Districts in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” will bring together the Governor KP, Chief Minister KP, parliamentarians, former governors, tribal elders, journalists, policymakers, and senior government officials to deliberate on the challenges faced by the merged districts following the FATA merger. The forum will focus on identifying practical solutions to address concerns regarding the inadequate recognition and representation of the merged districts in national planning, resource allocation, and development frameworks, while exploring pathways for their meaningful inclusion in Pakistan’s mainstream socio-economic and political landscape.

The second event, “State of Universities and University Education in KP,” to be held at the University Campus Peshawar, will convene governance and finance experts, researchers, academics, and higher education leaders to discuss evidence-based solutions for strengthening governance, improving financial sustainability, enhancing research capacity, and revitalizing public universities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Aspire KP remains committed to fostering informed dialogue, evidence-based policymaking, and collaborative action to address critical development and education challenges facing the province and the country.
