Youth, Opportunity & Economic Participation

An exploration of youth employment, skills, entrepreneurship and economic participation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a focus on the policy conditions needed to create more meaningful and sustainable opportunities for young people.

Youth, Opportunity & Economic Participation examines the barriers and opportunities shaping the economic future of young people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The issue looks beyond skills training alone and considers the wider conditions that influence youth employment, entrepreneurship and economic participation, including education quality, labour-market demand, access to finance, digital opportunities and the relationship between public policy and private-sector growth.

It also explores how institutions can better connect young people with meaningful opportunities by improving coordination between education, skills development, employers and entrepreneurship support.

Through research, practitioner insight and policy commentary, this edition of the ASPIRE-KP Journal aims to support a more informed discussion on creating pathways that allow young people to participate productively in the economy and contribute to the province’s long-term development.
