Hafiz-ur-Rahman has served in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 35 years. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Services Academy Act, 2012 and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Act, 2013 were drafted by him. The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies in Peshawar University and the Local Governance School were conceived, advocated and established by him.
