Governance, Reform & Public Institutions

An examination of governance, institutional capacity and public-sector reform in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bringing together evidence, practitioner experience and perspectives on accountable and effective public institutions.

Governance, Reform & Public Institutions examines the institutional foundations of effective public policy and the practical challenges involved in translating reform into better outcomes for citizens.

This issue brings together research, professional experience and informed perspectives on public administration, institutional accountability, local governance and public-service delivery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It considers how clearly defined responsibilities, stronger institutional capacity and effective implementation can contribute to more responsive and accountable governance.

Rather than focusing only on policy formulation, the issue also considers the realities of implementation—how institutions operate, where administrative gaps emerge and what practical approaches may help strengthen public-sector performance.

Through research-based analysis and practitioner perspectives, this edition of the ASPIRE-KP Journal aims to encourage informed discussion on building institutions that are capable, accountable and responsive to changing public needs.
