Climate Resilience & Sustainable Development

A policy-focused examination of climate resilience, environmental risk and sustainable development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting the institutional and community-level approaches needed to strengthen long-term resilience.

Climate Resilience & Sustainable Development explores the growing environmental challenges facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the policy choices needed to build a more resilient and sustainable future.

This issue examines climate change not only as an environmental concern, but as a challenge that affects infrastructure, water resources, local economies, public institutions and communities across the province. It brings together research, practitioner experience and informed perspectives on how better planning and stronger institutions can help reduce vulnerability to climate-related risks.

Particular attention is given to resilient infrastructure, water security, disaster preparedness, environmental governance and community-level adaptation. The issue also considers how development priorities can be aligned with long-term environmental sustainability without limiting economic opportunity or social progress.

Through evidence-based analysis and practical perspectives, this edition of the ASPIRE-KP Journal aims to encourage informed policy discussion on strengthening climate resilience and supporting sustainable development across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
